Il verbo to die è seguito dalla preposizione of quando si vogliono specificare le cause della morte: He died of a heart attack (non He died for a heart attack), è morto per un attacco cardiaco. To die for significa “morire dalla voglia di”: I'm dying for an ice-cream, muoio dalla voglia di un gelato.
